Toby's Blog for week ending 15th October 2010

MONDAY

First we did start of the day task and natasha won a class point for making the most words out of monday the 11th October, I got eleven words. Next we did Literacy, not my favouritelesson i admit. Mr. Mitchell showed us a power point on imperitive verbs. We got to interview the girls football team.

MATHS
In maths we did averages, we learnt that there are, the mean average, the median average, and the mode average there was also the range.

MUSIC
We listened to the rythm we played last week and we answered questions about the rythm.




TUESDAY

For start of the daywe had to name two things that 14,280,42,70 have incommon. Another thing that we had to do was to add 3744 and 8278. The third thing to do was find to out two decimals that add up to 0.8, many other things that we had to do aswell.

Wake and Shake
Kavanagh chose an eight min wake and shake, but then he started monning. After we got given our home work.

Literacy
In literacywe did a piece of comprehension on how to work an old video recorder.

Maths
We carried on with averages. Mr. Mitchell explained what median average was. Then he asked us to send in our favourite number between1 and 100. Before lunch we did an activote quiz.

Art
First we did problem solving to get our minds going, why don't you have a try. One of the problems were, how many bottles doesErnie the milkman sell in a week, he sells 11 bottles of milk monday-friday, and 22 at the weekend, so how many bottles does he sell in a full week. Next we had to look at ourwhilestwe ate an apple, to see what it looked like so we can make a moving modle of an animals mouth. Then we made flip book faces on tracing paper.


WEDNESDAY

Literacy
Mr. Mitchell asked us to say a verb then put it into a sentence. After that we moved onto adverbs. In our work books we carried on with what we did on tuesday.

Maths
In maths we had to find out mean, median and mode.

Science
We had to make little people and then put them in a sporty pose.

THURSDAY

literacy
We started a new piece of comprehension task.

Maths
We continued with averages, by rolling two dice 15 times then transferingit onto a tally chart. Then find the mode, the mean, the median, and the range.

I.C.T.
We used scratch to make a random number maker.

Poems
After last break we wrote a class pirate pete poem.

Hand washing
We washed our hands i a cream that looks like we have loads of jerms on our hands when we put them under a special machien. Then we did a cross word on jems and cleaness.


FRIDAY
Kumiko took a cake into school!
